That we receive, collect, and store any information you enter on our website or provide us in any other way. In addition, we collect the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; login; e-mail address; password; computer and connection information, and purchase history. We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page. We also collect personally identifiable information (including name, email, password, and communications); payment details (including credit card information), comments, feedback, product reviews, recommendations, and personal profile.
When you conduct a transaction on our website, as part of the process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address, and email address. Your personal information will be used for the specific reasons stated above only.
We collect such Non-personal and Personal Information for the following purposes:
To provide and operate the Services;
To provide our Users with ongoing customer assistance and technical support;

To be able to contact our Visitors and Users with general or personalized service-related notices and promotional messages;
To create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred Non-personal Information, which we or our business partners may use to provide and improve our respective services; 
To comply with any applicable laws and regulations.
Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with an online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases, and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.  
All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
We may contact you to notify you regarding your account, to troubleshoot problems with your account, to resolve a dispute, to collect fees or monies owed, to poll your opinions through surveys or questionnaires, to send updates about our company, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce our User Agreement, applicable national laws, and any agreement we may have with you. For these purposes, we may contact you via email, telephone, text messages, and postal mail.

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.

Bring The Mic Karaoke Challenge 
Contestant Rules and KJ/Bar Venue Agreement

1. Bring The Mic reserves the right to change these rules if necessary.  If changes are made Host Bars will be notified and the changes will be posted on www.BringTheMic.com.
2. Contestants must be of legal age to enter the venue hosting the contest or be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. 
3. You must compete at a host venue on the advertised
night of a qualifying contest. 
4. The number of contestants in a qualifying round will be determined on the night of the contest. 
5. The KJ/Venue host, agents, and judges reserve the right to declare the maximum number of contestants and close registration at any reasonable point in the event. 
6. Advancing contestants must be available for any additional elimination rounds prior to the semi-finals at the hosting venue or designated by Bring The Mic. All reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate the advancing contestant's schedule, but no guarantees will be made. If an advancing contestant cannot make an advancing round, his or her spot will default to the next contestant in the queue. 
7. Advancing contestants are encouraged to bring family, friends, and fans.   Audience reaction will help to determine the finalists and the Champion.
8. Bring The Mic Karaoke Challenge is a family-friendly contest (No foul language or questionable lyrics) Songs containing vulgar or explicit sex lyrics will not be allowed. Contestants who, during their performance, use vulgar lyrics or perform in an obscene manner will be disqualified from the competition. Rap and or hip-hop contestants must perform the radio-edited versions.
9. This contest is for individuals or duets (No groups) 
10. Only one entry per person, per location, per night. Contestants may enter as many times as they would like and register as many entry applications under their email. You may compete at more than one location, but you may only qualify for the Regional-finals once. All contestants going to their local bar final must have their entry form registered 24hrs before the local bar finals night. No contestant will be allowed to compete in a regional competition without their entry form being registered at www.BringTheMic.com through your KJ at a participating venue.
11. If space is limited new contestants will be taken over people who have already competed the week before. This will be up to the venue's discretion. 
12. Performances will be limited to five minutes. Choose your song wisely. If it is longer than five, be prepared to give us a big finish at the five-minute mark. The KJ or host will stop the song at the 5-minute mark or at their discretion. 
13. Avoid songs with big instrumental breaks. We’re not there to hear studio musicians; we’re there to hear you. 
14. We don't mind if someone else is doing your song. But if we see a duplicate, we will give you the option to change it before you sing. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO CHANGE! This is why pre-registration is encouraged. Once you have registered your name and song will be posted. 
15. Each contestant shall use only the equipment provided by the DJ running the show. No outside equipment by the contestant or anyone other than the DJ shall be used. 
16. Any contestant that allows others to sing along with him/her by surrendering the microphone shall be disqualified.   (This DOES NOT include holding the microphone in the air for the audience or a group in the audience to sing along with the background vocals.)
17. Contestants are not allowed to leave the stage or stage area during their performance. This includes singing or performing within the audience.
18. Any contestant guilty of distracting any of the other contestants while they are performing shall be disqualified. 
19. Any contestant guilty of insulting or starting any confrontation with any of the audience or other contestants shall be disqualified. 
20. Any contestant found damaging equipment shall be disqualified. 
21. The order of performance shall be decided by luck of the draw. 
22. Judges for preliminary contests will be selected by the host bar. It is suggested that a minimum of 3 judges be present.
23. Exception: A club/venue hosting a local contest may at their discretion choose to use their own judging methods. Bring The Mic will stand behind the decision of the venue and any and all decisions regarding the winner and representative of the host bar will not be questioned or challenged by Bring The Mic officials. 
24. Decisions of the judges are final. No, arguing with judges is allowed. Any contestant, their family, or associates who argue with a judge may be deemed to be using offensive behavior and the contestant may be disqualified from the competition and any other Bring The Mic venue.


25. Scoring will be based upon a possible 100-point system.
   
o    50 Points possible.... scale between (1-50)  for Vocal Ability
o    1-10 Points for Song Knowledge and Timing
   Was the singer glued to the lyrics monitor? Are the words sung at the correct time? Correct     Lyrics?
o    1-40 Points for Audience Interaction
   Did the singer sing to the audience? Was the singer able to get the audience into his or her performance?
o    Tie Breaker
   In the event of a tie, there will be a sing-off to break the tie.

i.    Persons who entertain are allowed to compete as long as it is part-time income and that person does not belong to any professional organization connected with the entertainment industry that would cause Bring The Mic or any Bring The Mic representatives including host bars, KJ's or sponsors to pay such contestant a fee or any other benefit for taking part in Bring The Mic Karaoke Challenge event. 
ii.    Any person may enter the contest that belongs to an Organized Labor Union connected with the entertainment industry, as long as that person is not disqualified by rule number (i). 
iii.    Contestants MAY NOT utilize live props. This will include backup singers, dancers, or animals. Non-human props, costumes, and other accessories are not only permitted but encouraged. Musical instruments may be used as props, but are not allowed as an accompaniment to the contestants' performance. Contestants will be judged on their singing ability, not on how well they play an instrument.  Such musical instruments must be hand carried. Larger instruments that utilize the aid of others to bring them on stage, or are difficult to handle are NOT permitted. An example of this type of instrument is a piano, harp, etc... Any prop used by a contestant must be carried on stage or into the stage area by the contestant and must be completed in one trip onto or into the stage area 
iv.    Contestants will sing one judged song. Contestants are allowed to repeat the songs they sing in the semi-final and in the final. 
v.    Contestants, their families, or associates are not allowed to have contact with a contest judge before or during any contest. Contact includes verbal conversations and handshakes. It is suggested that Club/Venue provide judge badges to prevent contestants from approaching judges. This rule applies only before and during the time contestants are performing. It is not reasonable to expect contestants; their families or associates from having contact with a judge directly after all contestants have performed. Breaks for judges during a contest shall be considered the same as time during a contestant performance and judges are off limits for conversation or any other contact. 
vi.    Contestants, their families, or associates who exhibit offensive behavior during any portion of the contest will disqualify that contestant from further competition. If the contestant, their family, or associates exhibit offensive behavior after the contestant has competed, and such behavior is in the host establishment, even after the winners are announced, that contestant’s score will be nullified. If the contestant whose score has been nullified is a winning contestant, the next contestant in the scoring position shall be the winner. If there is a tie for the next in line, the winner shall be decided by a toss of a coin. Every host bar will provide Bring The Mic with a winner, and an alternate representative for their bar at the end of the 12-week competition. 
vii.    There is a $20 dollar online or $20 dollar at the venue entry fee for all contestants. www.BringTheMic.com  to enter the online platform that will also accept original music and have a chance to be 1 of 2  chosen for the final slots in the state final.  Host Bars may at their discretion charge a cover charge to any non-contestant attending a qualifying event. The Grand Prize winner will receive a $100,000 recording contract. 
viii.    2 online winners will also be chosen to compete in the Finals.in Nashville, TN.
ix.    Regional Finals will be held at the venue that has the most registered entries in that region.  Bring The Mic reserves the right to change the venue for any reason.
x.    Contestants should arrive at least 1 hour before the contest to confirm music and draw for performance order.
xi.    Host Bars entered into the Bring The Mic Karaoke Challenge will hold contest dates for a minimum of 1 contest day per week for 12 weeks and 1 minimum entry by singers per week. The KJ/Bar is responsible for this and will be liable for the minimum requirements to be a part of this competition.

Please note: All participants agree to the following terms and conditions of participation by their signature on this form: 
I understand and agree to allow my name and/or likeness to be used in contest promotions, including photographs and digital renditions of my performance(s) and any filming by our film crew.  I understand the risks involved in participating in the Bring The Mic Karaoke Challenge event at this location. I/we do hereby waive, release and discharge any and all claims for damages for personal injury, death, or property damage which I/we may experience as a result of participation in this activity. This release is intended to discharge in advance this location, Bring The Mic, their officers, the KJ/Bar any and all sponsors, contractors and/or officials, employees, volunteers, and agents, from any and all liability resulting out of or connected in any way with my participation in the above activity; even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities mentioned above. It is understood that this activity involves an element of risk and danger of accidents; and knowing those risks, I hereby assume those risks. It is further agreed that this waiver, release, and assumption of risk is to be binding on my heirs and assigns. I agree to indemnify and hold the above persons and entities free and harmless from any loss, liability, damage, cost, or expense they may incur as the result of my death or injury, or property damage that I may sustain while participating in said activity. 
PARENTAL CONSENT: Must be completed and signed by a parent or legal guardian if the participant is under 18 years of age: I hereby consent that my son/daughter participate in the Bring The Mic Karaoke Challenge and I hereby execute the above Agreement, Waiver, and Release on his/her behalf. I state that said minor is physically able to participate in said activity. I hereby agree to indemnify and hold the persons and entities mentioned above free and harmless from any loss, liability, damage, cost, or expense which may incur as a result of the death or injury, or property damage that said minor may sustain while participating in the above activity.


I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS AGREEMENT, WAIVER, AND RELEASE AND FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENTS. I AM AWARE THAT THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND A CONTRACT BETWEEN MYSELF AND THIS LOCATION, SPONSORS, BRING THE MIC, NOVA ENTERTAINMENT SOLUTIONS, LLC, THEIR OFFICERS, AGENTS, OFFICIALS, EMPLOYEES, VOLUNTEERS, AND CONTRACTORS; AND I ACKNOWLEDGE MY AGREEMENT AS SIGNED ON THIS FORM IS OF MY OWN FREE WILL.
